CEO – Laurel M. Durham

Sea Horse Stall Drapes

Master Draper with 50 years of sewing experience, Laurel started Sea Horse Stall Drapes in March, 2017 at the request of her daughter Julie. She makes each product using high quality supplies and fabrics.

As an artist, she enjoys the design process the most – especially the drafting of patterns. Each product is field-tested and improved based on customer suggestions.

Her standards are high. She lives a creative life as a musician, teacher, and an advocate of the arts. She is a classically trained violinist, bluegrass fiddler, and life-long music instructor of string instruments and piano.

She escaped the cubicle and never looked back.

Field Tester & Marketing Consultant – Julie

She likes to take home samples.

Daughter Stephanie has an eye for all things beautiful. She carries on the family tradition of artistically-inspired textiles. She oversees online marketing presence and embroidery design.

Member in Memoriam – Grandma T.

Sea Horse Stall Drapes

Laurel’s beloved mother will always shine in the hearts of those who knew her. She taught her daughters to sew and create resourcefully. She was a Depression-era lady who advocated sustainability long before it was popular.

Her support of fine arts, music, and small family-owned enterprises led to Laurel pursuing her dreams. Dolores was an organizer who understood business practices. She and Laurel’s father John ran two successful family businesses.

She is dearly missed.

Riders in the Family

We were blessed with those who came before us, those we didn’t even get a chance to meet: our ancestors. Research into our family tree has revealed that there were an abundant number of equestrians in the family. Our ancestors were in Virginia breeding racehorses in the early 1800s, in Kentucky farming and training for the famous 1st KY Cavalry during the Civil War, in Missouri and Iowa, also raising farm families and horses to do the work.
